THE ONLY REASON YOU WON IS I WASNT THERE
You’re coming to Indy? Hell yeah. I’ll swing by to say hello. The weekend keeps on getting better.
Mullet is gonna look so good with a 632 and twin 91's! #noreplacementfordisplacement
Going to get a lot of ridicule for this but..., Why is it called a fox body?
Fantastic workmanship Kev 👍👍👍👍
Can’t wait to see the hood design and the car finish keep killing it my dude
If you have a dry bulb and wet bulb ambient temperature sensors you could probably program a psychometric chart lookup function and get air density and humidity. No need for humidity sensor. Otherwise T9602-3-A-1 Amphenol Advanced Sensors | Mouser
Hey Kevin what was that book you were looking at with the information for the cage certifications? In the midst of starting my own custom/speed shop and I have to be honest I haven't done much research as far as looking for resources on cage building. But I liked the way the book illustrated it. Was just hoping I could get a name or website for where I could get the book.
Respect and awesome job to the guy building the wiring harness!!
Now just make Cleetus realize Ruby needs the cage fixed to be legal, he needs to keep his visor down and hes going to need proper sfi suit for the methanol. Really just needs more focus on safety. its not if its when, and no one wants to see anyone get hurt.
@KSR. I believe Marine NMEA 2000 devices should in theory be compatible with CANBUS, if you can pull data that way. Yacht Devices (yachtd.com) makes a 12v marine humidity sensor that outputs the environmental humidity PGN data to NMEA 2000, which you could splice into your own cable adapter to connect to a CANBUS input
I wore my new ksr shirt all weekend, great quality and super comfortable material
That thing is 500HP like all those Japanese cars were "only" 280HP for two decades ;)
That Turbo looks nice. I don't think I've seen one that looks like that before (not that I've seen that many- 0 in person). Could just be the angle too.
i love the fact u do things properly, tidy and solid. keep it up KSR love the content.
@Kevin, is there a reason why the bed is not painted?
Awesome drive Kevin, you earned that win! That looked like a hell of a lot of fun!
I would have cut that harness then realized I cut the wrong one, or cut in the wrong place, or some other catastrophic boneheaded move. Guaranteed. That’s just how I roll. Nothing goes smooth in my world. Nothing
turbo 5.3 with 8200 rpm redline, interesting >.> i love it
Did I hear Kevin make a comment about baby giraffe????
Kev, I love all of the rambling about the details. Add more and I'd love it more.
Next vid I want the hood on
How does the inspector verify the tube wall thickness of the cage bars?
The inspector will place an ultrasonic thickness gauge on every tube that sends a sound pulse through it to calculate the thickness of the tube wall.
Diggin the music selection in this video
Congrats on the 500 Race Win.
AMPHENOL makes a lot of humidity sensors in that range, like the CC2D25S-SIP or T9602-5-A-1. Or TE Connectivity HPP809A031
That harness looks factory nice job
Look at sensors like DHT22 or DHT11 i used them a lot. You have humidity and temperature in one sensor.
I would appreciate a link to where I could buy that cage requirement book.
A Ripper from the post, great work Team.
Honeywell makes 5 V analog humidity sensors (HIH 40xx). Several to choose from. Digikey has them in stock.
epic progress and video! love em!
The firewall connector for the wiring harness is a great idea. But ahhhhhh don’t cut that!!! Ugh. Gotta do what you gotta do.
Awesome video, Congratulations on your win champ!!
was looking away and turned my head back just in time to see the loom get cut my heart dropped 😂
You are awesome! Keep it up!
Kevin: Oh geez, OH geez, OH GEEZ!!!! Me: that escalated quickly.
Been away a few days. Happy to be back to see the progress.
520hp easy. ;)
Baby giraffe 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 poor cleet he gets hell from all sides .
Kevin and PFI both dealing with cage certs! Fast and safe for the win.
I know I’m not that stupid to think that going fast safely is easy but wow this episode Kev shows what an amazing job you and your guys do right down to the little details. 👏👏 Gav 🇦🇺
absolutely love your channel mate! From Sydney Australia 🇭🇲🇺🇸
Just build everything like your fabricating a high performance aircraft, and you'll be good. And....."Baby Giraffe" 😂😂😂😂.
25 Dislikes from NASA employees, Kevin is making them look dumb.
Isn't the max weight for 25.2 3200lbs? I'm guessing this g body streetcar is heavier.
Any reason why the wiring isn't wrapped?
You could really class it up by putting little tractor flaps on them
Bring the thunder 💪🏼😎
The Mullet series has been really educational. When it is finally finished ,knowing it’s background, changing the tune will make sense to me!
Would be cool to feature Grant's Subaru on the channel Kevin!
Some of the Engines we have at Cummins have BAP sensors on them.
25.2 problems, but Kevin ain’t one of ‘em 👊👍
Kevin is a pro , if he says there 4 more days of work, there is four more days of work. his attention to detail and what others call overkill is tremendous.
I had almost forgotten about dip bottles. At least dude is respectful enough to put the lid on it despite the added inconvenience. Man that takes me back.
Didn’t think you modified the cage that was built for the jet engine. You would think that was up to spec. So really not your fault ? Love your work and channel
I know a lot of people don't think about it but LED lighting is incredibly easy to work with and when you're fabbing up the entire car you could add a few little touches to get like a strip LED totally hidden but with bright indirect lighting inside and out. They run off 12v and are stupid cheap (~15ft for $7) or you could poke around and get the controllable, programmable stuff like the bosozoku Lambos in Tokoyo. This car will be a showpiece, essentially, might as well light it up! Them BALD EAGLES gotta know where to land!
Kevin, I love you man but please stop wasting our time doing videos on a dyno when you have no intention of revealing true numbers. I do not understand why you even bothered with this one. Must have been a slow news day.
Have a look at the TE HM1500LF manufacturer part number HPP805A031, datasheet media.digikey.com/pdf/Data%20Sheets/Humirel%20PDFs/HM1500.pdf . 👌solid 500 per bank?
It’s honestly really refreshing to watch a SEnewss channel where the people building the cars actually know what they are talking about.
Kevin you and your guys do some Hy-Tech innovations. Stop beating yourself up bout the Roll Bar. It was not intentional nor unsafe. Just a BUMP in the road,
coolant pressure pulling timing is so fucking smart its crazy Kevin is the best of the best to build this kind of car
Is it still gonna have air jacks
This guy needs a holiday!
Good luck in ⚽️ Mom Kevin 👊🏻
lookin good sir...
How do you weld the gussets on top side of the cage at this point. Do you only weld 3/4 around it?
Hey Kevin I was wondering if you can put a timer in the bottom corner during time laps so we can see the time you all put into the little tedious projects. Love the content, building at it's best.
Um, wasn't Randy wondering where the PACE CAR was? That's why he didn't take off. Give me a break.
You are one smart dude!!!! Keep doing your thing. You'll be very wealthy
Was that your daughter at the End screaming? Amazing finish . You must have been pumped ☝️☝️☝️☝️☝️☝️☝️☝️☝️☝️☝️☝️👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
500 hop but never mention at what rev... never mind that 500 hop is at like 2500 rpm. It's all good, sometimes people need mystery.
2:15 Like a Steve Morris 540 Dart big block...
You need to steal the screaming bald eagle horn from Cletus and put it on mullet
Kevin, you remind me of Gale Banks when you are all over the data. 👍
