  • Put salt after pasta cooked? Where do you have learn to cook pasta, in Germany?

    • German way of cooking pasta is with salty water and sunflower oil or butter. But the water is not so salty as the Italian way. And they use noodles instead of pasta. Mostly making noodle salad for BBQ.

  • Dear Gordon Ramshackle...I used to add oil to water when cooking pasta...the pasta would still stick...then, just to see what would happen, I've stopped adding the oil, and it's never been stuck since...I'd like to think I'm doing something right...🤔

  • Question on the horizontal cut in the onion. I learned this technique after hiring a former food network chef one evening for a private lesson but she never really explained it. I've diced onions with and without the horizontal cut and have yet to see a difference in the dice. All pieces are always the same size either way I do it. Can anyone enlighten me as to why the horizontal cut is standard?

  • Kitchen tip! If you’re about to sneeze whilst cooking... Throw yourself into a low squat under counter height and sneeze towards the floor. I throw my hands up too.... I love how Chef Ramsey always bounces with energy,.. like kid needing to pee.

  • To put olive oil on the pasta, also helps greatly that the real sauce doesn‘t stick to the perfect pasta.

  • You have to slow down the speed when u listen to him! He goes to fast on all his videos. On i phone go to the 3 dots on upper right corner of video and go down to playback speed and choose your speed. Helps in many videos when they go to fast or slow . Hope this helps !

  • These tips are really great and all but so much of it is crazy specific that idk if I'll ever use more than half of these

  • When I do pasta I skip the seasoning and oil then, while its draining in a colander, hose it with cold water and then add a tables spoon of olive oil to help with sticking. Your food should be salty enough, no point in having extra sources of salt.

  • That rod isn’t sharpening that knife guys. The steel rod is called a honing rod. It straightens the tiny bends in the edge of the blade. In order to sharpen your knife, you must remove steel from the blade using a whet stone
