  • Dude I watched the first vid a while and when I searched for the follow up I was quite pleased.... If you made a new series on like an e90 n52 that would be amazing... Just a mere suggestion, but I think many n52 enthusiasts would be so thrilled... You’re hilarious and so informative. Thanks for the vid man, keep it up

  • I had the E60 LCI model, I literally spend hours trying to refit the headlights absolutely dreadful design.

    • PS: It's a pleasure to watch you work, you're such a skilled mechanic.

  • Hans part at 17:07. Best part!

  • Why not work on a few Audi’s? Some variety doesn’t hurt.

  • Hope you get the BMW technicians more often ,,, so funny nearly wet myself lol , typical BMW mechanics here in Scotland

  • Brilliant as always!!! Will you do an E30 restoration too? Pleeease!!!

  • sat through a 1 hour video of something I have barely any clue on.. you've got a gift.

  • 50:36 the sound i make when i get the bill for regular maintenance check at the official BMW dealer.

  • If you ask me, the oil pump could do another 150.000km.

  • DOLZ water pump? Utter garbage man!

    • @M539 Restorations maybe I’ll try it next time on my next project? I’ve just fitted a HEPU to my M54 325Ti M Sport, seemed nice quality. They claim to be made in Germany, which would be nice, but whether they are or not is another question!

    • Another friend of mine has been using it for a few years without issues and Rein pumps are solid units. Also, if it does give up eventually, it's million times cheaper than overpriced BMW one.

    • @M539 Restorations really? I always tend to give them a wide birth... Do you recommend?

    • No, it's not. Re-branded Rein WP that you get in the US.

  • amazing work

  • strap the hood up side down on the roof of the car with a piece of foam underneath

  • Oiga amigo deme trabajo usted nesecita alluda

  • The zip tie trick for the oil pan gasket is a great idea

  • Welcome to the part 2 (NO. PLEASE,SEND HELP)😂

  • Covering the pipes/throttle body inlets so "debris" won't get in VERY WISE move. Another great vid thank you. Just watched the "that's how you do rod bearings" part.....................................easy as that then, I had a sweat-on just watching.

  • Is it just me or was there a scene somewhere of Sreten washing the M5? Maybe not in this episode but was it deleted?? Been looking for that scene.

  • This is an amazing job on a V10. So impressive mechanically and theatrically!

  • You are the Funniest guy on SEnewss (sorry Jay Leno)!

  • 9:49 "close the hood" wait what?

  • What type of assembly lube are you using? Very nice job, well explained. You are indeed a bit over cautious but that’s best with these engines! Why don’t you repair the oil pump instead of buying the whole assembly... And just use a lever on the garage handle, come on lol. Cheers and happy Easter!

  • i like that you dont cut any corners. germans do things properly. greetings from a fellow e60 M5 owner in Norway.

  • keep up good work, great video

  • 1:04:35 Germans being the most critical of german design and engineering. The rest of the world think they have already mastered it. Not them. 😄

  • Love the little intro guys. Subscribed haha. I have an 04 e63 and will have the V10 version soon - soon.

  • Liked just for the hans sketch

  • Ahahaha, najjaci si brate

  • I unknowingly had this video playing at .75 normal rate and thought my favorite SEnewssr was drunk!! Sorry man I thought that of you for a moment!, There’s no way you can do such excellent work and be drinking at the same time! Try playing your video back at .75 speed in you’ll see what I mean.

  • Amazing Video and job with this man! 10K in parts for a 6K Car. I was seriously considering getting one of these but im having second thoughts now lol

  • Nice video:) If I may suggest one precaution measure- look at 1:03:54 an 1:04:07 - I would avoid any loose things near running engine hanging straight from the neck . Split second and your neck might be hurt when belt grab this string. BTW hope this oily towels were properly disposed. You may have add comment about that, otherwise I have a filling this would be tremendeous enviromental footprint left. Apart from that nice job and grate video:D!!! Keep up running this nice stuff for petrolheads!

  • Awesome video and a proper job. Nicely done ✅👍

  • So what is the current consensus when it comes to which type/weight of oil To run in these engines?

  • Lol, great video, great humour.

  • chrome black

  • bravo brate..vidi se da si nqs covjek ..nema sta.. samo jako 💪👍

  • Are the beautiful Hazet tools frightfully expensive in Germany like they are here? (a set like I wanted was $20,000, and one I could make due with (and have to use inferior tools for everything else) was about $5,000)

  • Typical day when mechanics work on BMW 1:04:54 😅. Great video. I'm shocked how much of preventive maintenance this engine needs to drive.

  • Woosaaaaah

  • Your vidoes are great brother. I wish you all the success from the channel.

  • 40:43,please don't use the name of God in vain

  • Most 850s with 6speeds I've ever seen. Nice work.

  • I got this engine for sale with 20k miles

  • I'm like 14 minutes in then I realized how long this is, the content is quality and I think it would be more youtube digestible in 10-20 minute pieces. Subscribed.

  • My 2011 335i x drive with 90k miles sounds like shit and knocks so that i dont even drive it anymore. It bums me out too much. Why can someone just fix it so i can use what cost me 63k

  • as a German i should be offended, but it was Hilarious ^^

  • The luckiest man on the planet - :-) - restoring the greatest cars and engines and afterwards driving full throttle on the autobaaaaahn - YES - great work by the way.

  • 200km later....? Its a bucket nugget. Waste of your precious time and earthly resources

  • Cheers from Uruguay, your videos are amazing!

  • I AM IMPRESSED. I would never attempt anything this serious. Good job body. Great videos as far as service and fixability and entertainment. Good sense of humor as well. My family and I came from USA 5 years ago to Nürburgring ; - had great time. I wish we could build one in USA. Learning a lot about BMWs. I only have one. But definitely three Toyotas; cause they never brake down. Thanks for good info. Keep it up. Z-man.

  • Well!.....I learned that BMW’s are a pile of shit!! Great video though!!

  • Just HOW much time did you spend in the States? You are eminently supreme in your "American English"! All in all? A great watch! Many of my customers would throw away a car before going through what you did on this M5. Oh. Wait. That's exactly what the previous owner from North Carolina did. "Get this POS Bimmer outta here"....... GREAT videos!

  • My new favorite channel. Editing king. And hilarious skits. Makes my day better. GOOD JOB 👍

  • purrs like an agricultural machine :DDD

  • This Guy is a Pro

  • You only lost your temper once! Amazing

  • love your content brother keep it up more m5 videos lol

  • Must be so nice to know what you doing, would absolutely love this car!

  • donut from lidl? the bag looks familiar

  • Love your videos, and love the cars you work on. So satisfying to watch. One request. Haven’t seen any X SAVs. Would love to see an X5 M or 4.8i.

  • Great video and a superb mechanic but you were really in danger when you lent over the running engine with your pull cords from your hoodie dangling down towards the fans and pulleys...

  • Hahaha, the sketch was excellent.

  • Nice job but you've been watching too much vice grip garage I think 🤔

  • after insanely difficult repair: it may seem easy but it is not. Liked and subscribed! thx.

  • Nice. Did you figure out power steering pump issue?

  • Hi , would you mind giving me your opinion on Bosch injectors bought from AUTODOC for E60 M5 , would you trust them ? Thanks Keep the great videos going 👌

  • LOVED this video! What an unbelievable talent - as a mechanical genius, an instructor, and an hilarious entertainer!!!! I was captivated, and stayed up LONG past my bedtime to watch finished... despite never even owning a BMW...! ♥️

  • when u add the coolant make sure u let the air out it wont build up pressure !!!

  • shizer shizer Ja !

  • How did you know what kind of connrod bearings (colour/selection group) to buy before you started disassembling engine?

  • good job hans !

  • bmw over designed over engineered repair exceeds value of car Why cause we can.

  • The "Hans and Knock" sketch absolutely got me. I have never seen such an accurate portrayal of BMW engineers in my entire life.

  • You should definitely be car mechanic by day and brain surgeon by night the amount of passion you have🙂👍

  • Great work 💪I didn't think I could watch the whole episode, just wanted some 5min highlights, but I found myself glued to my phone watching your every step!! Gives me more insight and confidence working on my E60 M5 (6 speed) 👍

  • Question: Why are you putting 5w40 instead of 5w50 molygen? (I know the 10w60 is wrongly specced by BMW especially for cold climates, can't expect people to sit in their driveway for 5 minutes waiting for the oil temp marker to get to 7-8). Isn't that way too thin?

    • @M539 Restorations The description link says 5w40? Dont you think 10w60 is too thick and the primary reason for so many bearing failures?

    • I put 10W60.

  • What an ugly car, but great work as always Sreten. Just an advice, you'll never get rid of the diesel-like sound engine. Whatever you do.

  • @M539 Restorations can you put a carbon plenum

  • The skit was fantastic. Thank you for that glimpse into the BMW design process.

  • You must have done this on another car before,or you are one brave SOB! I’m a licensed Aircraft Technician and doing this job in a garage intimidates me! Having a lift is a must! You have my respect for sure. You must have spent a ton of money on this project. Are you keeping this car or flipping it?

  • Bumper paint doesn't match...

    • @M539 Restorations Welp, your video is too long. I scanned through it and got to the part where you mentioned the '58 shades of grey' thing going on. Whoever is watching all 1 hour 16 mins of it has way too much time on their hands... or should be spending the time side hustling or something to pay for their E60 wallet vortex. I have one with a paltry 105k kms and after 1,000 kms of ownership the ABS module is caput, I get the red cog of death randomly during very cold weather, the tranny or 'something' makes a weird metal twist/sheering noise when shifting gears at low rpm, throttle body actuator bank 1 is on its way out, battery discharge is 'high' after a new battery installed from previous owner (not even sure he registered it properly), fan bearings or something is making a whining noise when the heat blower is on... god knows wtf else it has planned for me at this point.

    • Funny how you noticed that but missed my explanation 😁

    • @M539 Restorations yes. Plastic vs metal does affect the shade, but that's where a pro shop wont just take the paintcode, theyll scan a sample from the old bumper and mix accordingly, as over time UV will alter the color away from the original. 😃

    • You sure?

  • absolute brilliant just love watching channel far better than anything on the tv.

  • You didnt sealed gaskuet with some paste or paint for hot metal to bake it

  • Big cold is like wery hot thing ones my fingers were burned from cold stell

  • Its easy when you go and by it, in serbia we wait 2 months for some parts sometimes even cant find them so we make it

  • Hanss wibracionnn... Hu hu hu hahahahah geshpricen in guzicen

  • ti stvarno mrziš svoj život

  • When she ask you how you learn that with fingers

  • That crank was dusty when he put the cap back on. . . . Bearing 7 has some clear scoring also.

  • Cheers!

  • Your videos are awesome! Very informative and your attention to detail is impeccable! I have an 06 BMW m6. So many people are scared of these cars but I have no regrets. Keep up the good work buddy!

  • I feel your pain! love the video, great info, nothing will test you the way working on a complex automobile will!

  • Nice videos from albania 🇦🇱

  • A master of over exaggeration!

  • This video makes me very happy indeed, therapy right there. Top job sir!

  • hallo from steinheim hanau i can`t move on from knock and hans i replay like over and over =))))))))))

  • First time I've heard of fracture split rods, learn something new every day

  • Good thing you have another job to support your BMW habit. That way you can Buy More Wrenches

  • 1:14:06 F1 sound

  • You have the hands and patience of a surgeon
