I've never had a ton of money, and I've had a hard time justifying dropping a ton of money on a pair of headphones. You convinced me to get AKG k52s. These are easily the nicest sounding headphones I've ever own.
Did anyone else notice the wall on the left when he was playing the sound from the headphones? It looks like a duck
currently listening to toxic... holy shit i never noticed this. listening with sennheiser 4.40bt
I like the HD58X more
i love the sr 850s wearing them right now
The tests sound like KZ ZSN Pro Xs... Hmmm I wonder why
Nice vid! How would you recommend the Hifiman 4XXs from drop?
Go for the Hifiman 400SE instead. It's newer and cheaper. I have the 4XX and it sounds great, but the headband is prone to breaking. The 400SE is very similar (more bass which is good considering the 4XX is a bit lacking there), and more durable while only costing $150
*Now we need a video about Skullcandy Crushers*
If you buy the Superlux you should consider also buying the velour earpad for around 5€. They make them a lot more comfortable.
POV: you left youtube autoplay on and youtube keeps queuing this video over and over :)
Speaking of which, my lecturer in university recommended me to get BTR3s instead of BTR5s. He said that it's warmer and more fun to listen to because the BTR5s are more neutral. I suppose that depends on the genre of music because they are a bit of a bass head, but can anyone attest to that idea?
The MINIDSP thing might be interesting to mess around with for re-amping.
When are you going to mention the Philips SHP9500's? For the price they sound great! Keep up the great work! Awesome vids!
ooops, lol, commented too early in the video!
Love it when he explains balance cables it's literally the same words every time
You've made me listen to Britney Spears... you monster
and yea, the cymbal's pretty cool, nice touch indeed
KZ ES4's for me..... should have sprung for the Pro's but I can wear these for hours watching films without any discomfort
I can't really hear a difference between the Porta Pros and Kph30i. In fact, the kph mightsound a bit warmer for me.
I find it interesting that you say that headphones are hard to power without an amp and such. Theoretically it should be true. But also, I can plug my beyerdynamics 1770 pro's into my phone and they'll work fine. Relatively quiet but totally useable. Not that I'd ever use that heavy a pair of headphones on the go but still, it technically does work. Those are 250ohm
With the 58x it sounds like you just kept the 600 in
Well, it went to the moon already
i love the zoom in when the drums do the little jazz fill!
please make a video about wireless headphones
I love music but mc music teacher is the biggest asshole
Got Grados, love them
I am gonna say this again you are the reason kbears and Kz are out of stock or over priced in india.😭 waiting for 3 months to get them back in stock.
Old fellows question, can the Fiio amp and headphone setup be connected to an Ipod Classic? If yes what bits and pieces would i need?
My dad bought me a pair of jbl 750btnc for my birthday and I really like them. :)
Followed your suggestion and bought a pair of the KBear KS1! The first time I've actually bought something recommended by a youtube video. I absolutely love them! However, do you have a suggestion for replacement cables for them? The included one is a bit short, and the ear loops fit on my weird ass head a bit funny. Otherwise, they're absolutely stellar! I can't believe how inexpensive they were. Thank you for the education! A marvelous video as always.
Wait what kz zsn pro is $20 Australian dollar right not USD because that thing only like $11-15 USD if you wanna do $20 on kz earphone pick the kz dq6
SHP9500S are amazing for the price, I think. They're built into SonarWorks as well 😉
15:09 but what if you actually tried to transmit audio through a literal coathanger wire
Bought the AKG K52s because of you
Can anyone recommend a intro magnetic planar headphone around $50 if they even have any at that price bracket and if a magnetic planar headphone will be any better than a dynamic for that
@Jamie Vatarga i know I didn't think it would be just wanted to try them
@thermigga and planars aren't automatically better anyway. DT 880's rock
@Jamie Vatarga yea i had a feeling it would be expensive but I've already got a pair of dt 880s so $150 ain't worth my curiosity
Cheapest good planar would be something like the hifiman HE400SE. And that's still around $150
9:50 You can't spell ears without making an anagram of arse.
Really hoping you'll check out the Sony MDR-XB50AP in-ears soon, have been loving them for many years now!
Thank god finally someone else that don't like the koss port pros! (they also break super easily....) :P I thought I was the only one on earth that didnt enjoy them.. :P Edit: To not only be negative, for all the people looking at the KZ's.. They are AMAZING (for the price) If you go for the KZ ZS10 PRO you get even better quality for a good price.
Monoprice Retro. Another AKG clone but supposedly better than the Superlux
It's different. Superlux makes the monoprice retro but the tuning is different. Mostly low end with a peak in the upper treble
HD265 RIP (but then you find a pair online) :) !!!
that sound ID thing is crazy, tried it and its wild how much it changes the music.
I had those k52's there ok but there fragile
I think I need to upgrade from my Soundcore liberty 2 pro
Very specific request: Could you recommend pairs of dirty buds of the type that don't penetrate down into our brain? I like the old Apple-style ones that sit in your ears not stuffed in your ear canal, but there's basically none on offer at the JB Hi Fis or equivalents that I've checked out and my current set of dirty buds are dying
@Jamie Vatarga Ooo will check those out, thanks 😊
Faaeal Snow Lotus/Iris or VE Monk earbuds. They're both cheap, but have been popular in the audiophile community for a while
i think painting man is a great side character in this anime
Just bought the Superlux HD681 HOLY S**T It's GOD DAMN SLAPS MY GOD ITS THE BEST CHEAPEST HEADPHONES I'VE BOUGHT FOR $5
The music is so chill
Bro, i think you missed a great pair of headphones, you should try OneOdio studio pro 50 they cheap i bought em for 40 $ and they sound and feel awesome
@Jamie Vatarga thank you so much man 🙏
@Zouheir Hamzaoui he brings them out here senewss.info/slow/rZPMrKehhMjQfcw/video
@Jamie Vatarga could you post the link to it ?
He has a pair he featured in another video
I bought the Koss KPH30i because of you, they came in the mail yesterday and I can say that I’m certainly not disappointed! They sound AWESOME. Thank you very much.
Koss UR-40 are a good over ear alternative to the porta pro's, should be same sound and cheaper too. They're built by flimsy plastic, but from my experience as long as you don't rip the shitty cable they'll stay usable, had a pair that was crushed in various bags that lasted me three years.
You can tell the value of an object by how delicately he puts them on the table
The samson sr850 seem to go on sale a lot, here in SA, so they're a lot cheaper than the superlux. I also cant seem to find any of the superlux hd681 in South Africa.
The KZ pros aren't 20 bucks ? And i just bought KZ ZS10s red and they're pretty nice 50 bucks tho ... also i have some fuzz noise on my Note 10+ and how can i fix that?
Hey everyone who comes to this video new! Welcome to the party 👋 And hey to the rest of the regular fans as well, hope everyone has a good day
STOP POSTING HEADPHONES VIDEOS YOURE ENABLING MY ADDICTION
I have a pair of v Moda Crossfade lp2s Andi love them so much. They have bullet proof build quality and it has so much clarity but at the same time it still has great sub bass.
In case anyone is looking for the Sennheiser HD58x's, their sold through Massdrop. From what I can tell, Sennheiser doesn't sell them through their website, but you can still buy them from Massdrop for the same price
I use the superlux with the FiiO and I love the combo. It’s good entry level imo. It’s hard to go back to my AirPods cause they sound so much better lol
What're your thoughts on a pair of OnePlus' Bullets Wireless Z? I got them for free with my phone a year ago (pretty sure their standard price is $60 CAD) and I found them to be better quality than a pair of $70 beats earbuds
Idk why but his voice and his excitement is so entertaining!
is the HD681 EVO any good compared to the HD681's?
This channel got me from wearing whatever headphones I happened to be given to getting some grados for home and KSNs for when I'm on the go. It's only a matter of time before I also get the giant sony noise cancelling thingies and some headphone stands and end up being That Audio Person
great you uploaded this at this time i needed a new pair ha
I bought KZ ZSTs and Grado SR60e's cause of this channel and I'm saving for a set of Meze 99 neos after I buy myself a mountain bike (priorities, people!) After coming from a background of being a dirty bud spotify boy and it was amazing! I'm honestly so glad I discovered this channel in late 2020
Lol point against the AKG boys. The have those annoying headphone jacks that don't go in if you have a case on
Actually bought myself the AKG K52 after this vid. I was looking for some crisp sound at a decent price, but didn't want openbacks because I play a lot of games while in discord calls, so I can't have everyone hearing my cans because the bleed is picked up by the mic. And I gotta say, I'm very, very pleased. They fit incredibly well, are a comfortable wear, the cable is solid and doesn't fling around in curls, the plug is proper so it won't bend off like most headphones with cheap plug fittings do... They're just really fucking solid all around and I can't complain at all. For 28€, these are outstanding. Thanks a ton, Wade. I knew I could count on you.
**HEADPHONE HELP NEEDED PLEASE** Over ear Don’t care about noise canceling I need Wireless headphones but also come with a 3.5mm jack Budget up to $170 Canadian dollars I want to listen to music wirelessly and also plug them into my ps4 controller or via Bluetooth. Please help me find a good pair
Yo you should definitely buy some craig headphones speaker's ore some of their other crap they legit sell tablets for like 60 bucks and sell legit blank vhs tapes
Where grado :(
Irrelevant to the video and I bet you have heard this a million times but I took your advise and bought kzs they are pretty good (wearing them now).
Please review VE monk earphones. They are dirt cheap but sound really incredible. Price at just 5 USD.
I think I just made a rip in the space-time continuum by listening to the samson sr850s on my sr850s....... bought them on your recommendation by the way so thanks for that! :)
5:15/5:28 HD681 6:31/6:44 SR850 8:07/8:20 K52
hey actually, this is kinda unrelated, but I was curious about something-- i got an old gba, and for some reason, my fancy sony wxm-whatever-its-called headphones make the World's Worst Noise plugged into it, but my cheap jlab kiddie phones sound just fine (also got free dirtybuds from school test which sound less unpleasant plugged into it, but some underlying static there too). it never occured to me before, but could that have been an ohms issue? or are the fancy headphones just Too Advanced for the gameboy advance (pun not intended)
Can you check out the soundcore life q35 and q30 people are saying they’re really good for under 100
KB vs KZ? I pick both

2:28 i have seen fleshlights in many forms but shaped like an ear, thats some next level fetish right there
Let's say that budget can stretch, but not in the territory of say, Hifiman Ananda-BT. I'm currently torn between the new Panda by Drop + THX and the Beyerdynamic Amiron Wireless. Noise cancelling and all that is of no concern, I'm purely seeking high tier sound quality. Much preferred to be wireless since that's the most convenient for being on the go a lot. What would you say is the better option? And if there's anything better than those two, I'm more than open to suggestions :) Currently running on Audio Technica ATH-M50xBT
Can you review Rapoo VH-300 they're relitively cheap 7.1 sorround gaming headphones over ear.
Should I buy Hd58x used?
I can fully vouch for the Phillips SHP9500, got them for $40 probably the best purchase I've ever made.
Bought my Doge at 5 cents as well! Just waiting for my big break!
Review the JBL live 400bt
I just remember that Craig made a laptop and lew from unbox therapy made a review about it lol senewss.info/slow/YtHKh7ljadaSetA/video
You should get that laptop for the Craig nugget collection.
Always bring protection - Dankpods
Got the trial of that soundID reference software but it's $99 or the full version HEADPHONES ONLY, holy shit. Anyone got an alternative like even a basic systemwide equalizer so I can copy the calibration profile, for mac? I like the improvements but it's not worth $99, especially for something I can only run on my computer.
Reference 4 license doesn't seem to be available for purchase anymore, not even being sold cheaper. Only way to get it is a visit to some sketchy websites. Also the sonarworks website is awful to navigate.
You should take a look at the DT 990 pro it's basically the same as DT 770 pro but the 990 pro is open backs
Please review Skullcandy Hesh 2 wired
Listening to this video with my HD58x's makes me not regret buying them when they first came out
I recently got some airpod pros and have been listening to HiRes music and was wondering if you had any recommendations, or perhaps you could do a video covering the best set of headphones for certain music genres or songs, like maybe you have a favorite pair of headphones but your favorite song sounds best on a different pair. just my thoughts
I caved Dank. I sprung for the Koss boys because the price was good, though I did miss a slight discount. I love them, open backs, not super massive, don't bleed bad, and the bass. I've never felt actual bass/kick drum in most of what I listen to before them. Thank you for making audio easy.
What would be the best in-ear earbuds for high bass
Thieaudio monarch/ Thieaudio L9
I mean raycons. But we’re talking about like ear damage bass.
Put my order in for the HD58x today. I've been looking for that EXACT thing for years (obviously not hard enough lol) I had my sampsons for years and I loved them but just want M O R E
Love your recommendations, think you turned me into an audiophile. I love the KZs!
do turtle beach
WElp, I'd love to get anyof theese but I have decent headphones and no reason to get new ones YET
